PRESS RELEASE: From recycled electrodes, comes the new ‘Magnet & Ferro’ line by Guandong

The new generation of Magnet & Ferro developed by Guandong was born from the discarded industrial production of electrodes destined for landfills: “ancient” supports reworked in a green key, which offer new application solutions for interior and wall decoration. This line developed by the Specialities’ Specialist is produced using graphite and 100% recycled ferrous powder. “Because of this choice, in the year 2019 alone, we were able to recycle 19 tons of graphite and ferrous powder, which would otherwise have ended up in landfills or, worse, underground, with an evident environmental fallout“, comments Daniele Faoro, Guandong’s CEO.

Sustainability and quality are the key points of the highly innovative solutions developed by the Guandong R&D department which, in addition to their WOW effect, offer the added value of eco-sustainability of our Greenlife® seal guarantee. A trademark registered by Guandong several years ago “when respect for the environment was a creed and not a fashion“, comments Fabio Elmi, Guandong’s Research & Development Director, confirming the company’s sentiment. “We feel the moral duty to manufacture products with all the technical and technological characteristics required for eco-sustainable applications. This is why we use the highest possible percentage of line recycled products, and our manufacturing processes include the use of selected resins, so that, during the disposal phase, waste is totally recyclable and/or similar to Urban Solid Waste (MSW)“.

The M&F range (Magnet & Ferro) offers unlimited combinations which allow for overlapping applications. An extremely versatile solution which allows the creation of communicating walls, where messages can be changed very quickly and with extreme ease. An interior decoration proposal which confirms Guandong’s now famous claim, “Change your image in 1 minute“, already highly appreciated by fitters, printers, installers, architects and designers.

“It is certainly important to offer products that respond to market trends, and though it may be true that today the market is flooded by a green wave, we have been working in this direction for a very long time and already offer a multitude of proposals, in line with our professional ethics “, concludes Faoro.
